For Brabantsedag Heeze, it is a great honor to receive a real Hollywood star this year! Because his wife, photographer Carin van der Donk, photographs the biggest theatre parade of the year, famous actor Vincent d'Onofrio comes along.
Originally Dutch Carin lives with her family in Manhattan. As a former model she now works behind the camera; photography has been her passion for years, often together with her sister Marjan. Her favorite theme is parades. That's why she arrived at the Brabantsedag: "I have been a spectator of the Brabantsedag in the past, and it is by far one of the most amazing parades in the world."
Her characteristic and artistic black-and-white style can only be admired through Instagram for the time being; she is still brooding on concrete plans for a book or exhibition(s), for example.

Her versatile husband Vincent is a famous actor, director and producer. He made a name for himself in Stanley Kubrick's Full Metal Jacket, but you also saw him in Men in Black and Jurassic World, among others. At Brabantsedag we are mainly fans of his detective Robert Goren in Law & Order: Criminal Intent (2001-2011) and his bad guy Wilson Fisk in Marvel's Daredevil (2015).
D'Onofrio is looking forward to the acting of the 2,000 Brabantsedag actors, he says. During the rolling parade they will present a complete story within a few minutes with their empathetic play. Vincent will be a guest on Wednesday evening 21 August, to watch the game rehearsals of two of the sixteen float builders groups - Vriendenkring Haisjô and Ge Wit 't Oit Noit Nie - while Carin records the preparations for the biggest theatre parade of the year.
