Saturday, August 20, the Open Tents Tour of the Brabantsedag took place: a bicycle route along the 16 construction tents, a unique look behind the scenes. From 11.30 the wagon builders were ready to receive the public in their tents and explain about their wagon for the Brabantsedag.
The local neighborhood who came to take a look, fans who wanted to prepare for the parade on Sunday, August 28, relatives who wanted to know what was being built during these summer months and colleagues from other construction groups: they cycled from here to there.
The reactions of both public and the float builders were purely positive.
You get a better idea of what the wagons will look like next week. And it makes you even more curious how they are going to put it on the road, with grime, clothes and the acting talent. Next year again, we would say,' said one of the cycling visitors.
Frank van Lierop, Executive Board of the Brabantsedag Foundation, confirmed the positive sounds: 'This was the first year for our Open Tent Tour and it was very well received by the public and our wagon builders. The wagon builders had really put their heart into it and were welcoming the visitors, which was great to see.
On Sunday, August 28, the 16 groups of wagon builders will show their creations, while pulling through the streets of Heeze. The coming week there will be a lot of construction, so everything will look tip-top then.
