Stories about the Brabantsedag are hundreds, if not thousands. High time to capture them in a podcast! The Brabantsedag Foundation proudly presents Paradepraat, the podcast of the Brabantsedag. In-depth conversations about interesting topics from, about and with the Brabantsedag can now be listened to via Spotify.
Hosts Frank Ikink and Maarten van der Velden take listeners through the history of wagon builders' families, the design processes of the wagon groups, as well as the development of Brabantsedag themes and the play during the parade. In short, a lot of diversity and something for everyone. Radio producer Koen van der Vorst is in charge of editing the episodes.
Christa van den Broek, Marketing & PR of the Brabantsedag Foundation: 'The Brabantsedag is of course an experience you have to see, hear and feel. It stimulates all the senses. That last Sunday in August you feast your eyes on what passes by during the parade. However, something like this does not come out of nowhere, there are months of preparation beforehand. And it has been going on for 64 years! So you can imagine how many stories there are - that we would love to tell. We already saw the potential of a podcast when we launched Parade Talks in 2021. Short stories about the Brabantsedag were then back in the village, on large Parade columns. The stories were very well listened to. Therefore, now proudly: Paradepraat.
Parade talk can be listened to via Spotify under 'Parade talk'. Stichting Brabantsedag would love to hear what you think! Questions, feedback or your own story they would love to receive at podcast@brabantsedag.nl.
