Message from the Municipality of Heeze-Leende
As the municipality of Heeze-Leende, we are proud to welcome you to our beautiful municipality for the magnificent event known as the Brabantsedag. We are certain that it will be a spectacular and impressive weekend! With over 30,000 people attending, it is necessary to implement some traffic measures to ensure your safety during the Brabantsedag. Let's work together to ensure that everything runs smoothly so we can fully enjoy this fantastic event. Let the Brabantsedag come, filled with joy and spectacle!
Emergency Route: With over 30,000 visitors, it is crucial to maintain a clear route for emergency services. Parking and stopping along the emergency route are prohibited. Please refrain from doing so, as there is a towing policy in effect, which may incur high costs. Residents living along the route are requested to park their cars on their own property. The emergency route will be partially closed to motorized traffic starting at 8:00 AM.
Parade Route: In order to facilitate smooth emergency response in case of any incidents, we kindly ask you not to place large furniture along the parade route. This obstructs the walking path and hinders emergency services. Folding chairs are allowed as they can be quickly removed. Leaving space in the front row is also considerate towards wheelchair users and younger visitors, so that they can also enjoy the parade.
Parking Restrictions: During the Brabantsedag, parking restrictions will be in place in certain streets to ensure accessibility for emergency services. We aim to be a welcoming village, so there are plenty of designated parking areas available for you to explore our charming village on foot. If you plan to visit family or friends, please make sure to arrive in Heeze before 8:00 AM. You will still be able to access almost all areas by car. However, please be mindful of the parking restrictions. Starting at 8:00 AM, a part of Heeze will be closed to motorized traffic to ensure the safety of the Brabantsedag.
Traffic Controllers will guide the way: At points where you are not permitted to proceed, traffic controllers will be present to assist you. Please follow their instructions to facilitate smooth traffic flow. You may need to take a detour. Thank you for your understanding.
More information: Detailed maps and additional traffic measures can be found at heeze-leende.nl/verkeer. There, you can also access the granted permits. Please note: Starting from Thursday, August 24, from 5:00 PM, and on Friday, August 25, and Monday, August 28, one-way traffic will be implemented along the parade route due to the construction and dismantling of the grandstands. If you have any questions regarding these measures, please contact us at (040) 22 41 400.
