On Sunday, August 27th, employees from "Band op Spanning" will come to the (paid) parking lot of P1 at the Brabantsedag. There, they will perform the free "Band op Spanning" service! Using professional mobile equipment, they will check the tire pressure of the cars and inflate the tires as needed.
In the Netherlands, more than half of all cars drive with insufficient tire pressure. This results in an annual cost of about 200 million liters of extra fuel and causes an additional 400 million kg of CO2 emissions. Driving with underinflated tires also makes driving more expensive; a car consumes 2 to 5% more fuel annually, and tire wear increases. It's also dangerous because driving safety decreases due to poor road grip, longer braking distance, and a higher risk of a blowout.
Time for action! With the "Band op Spanning" service, you can contribute in a tangible way to a cleaner and safer society. The Municipality of Heeze-Leende supports this initiative and offers all visitors of the Brabantsedag who park at the paid parking lot P1 near the Muggenberg 40, Heeze, this service free of charge.
How does it work? Service staff will be present at the entrance and exit of the parking lot throughout the day. They will approach drivers about this free service. Want to participate? You will receive a registration card under your windshield wiper. Once you've parked and on your way, you don't need to do anything further. The staff will check the tire pressure and inflate the tires to the manufacturer's recommended pressure (under normal use) as needed. The registration card will be exchanged for a card showing the old tire pressure, the new tire pressure, and the savings! This way, you'll know exactly what has been done, which is quite convenient.
Prefer not to participate? Of course, you also have the option not to use this free tire service. You can communicate this to our staff. They will never touch your car without permission and will only take action if a car has a registration card under the windshield wiper.
