Searching for the Most Beautiful Poems About the Brabant Feeling. Will You Join?
In the parade, events from the past come to life, related to a theme and to Brabant. The 16 float builder groups creatively translate these events to the present day. The result: a moving total theater with original designs and daring techniques, telling a complete story in just a few minutes.
Closer to Brabant
"Closer to Brabant" is the theme of the Brabantsedag 2024. This theme refers both to Brabant's poets and poems and to the "typical Brabant feeling." For "Closer to Brabant," the sixteen float builder groups will use a work by a Brabant poet as their source of inspiration.
Poetry Contest
The Brabantsedag Foundation is looking for your poetry skills! What brings you closer to Brabant? Write a poem and submit it via brabantsedag.nl/gedichtenwedstrijd. There is a children's category and an adult category, and there are great prizes to be won: Gift certificates from Lektura bookstore (€10, €15, and €25) for adults and from Intertoys Heeze (€10, €15, and €25) for children.
Who knows, your poem might even win a spot on one of the poetry tables you see around the municipality of Heeze-Leende.
