As the municipality of Heeze-Leende, we are proud to welcome you to our beautiful community for a masterful event like the Brabantsedag in Heeze. We are confident that it will once again be a spectacular and impressive weekend! With more than 30,000 people attending, it is necessary to implement some traffic measures to ensure that everyone can enjoy a safe Brabantsedag.
### Why are we taking these measures?
With so many residents and visitors in the municipality, it is essential to ensure safety and accessibility. These measures allow emergency services to quickly reach the scene in case of an emergency and ensure that everyone has the opportunity to fully enjoy the Brabantsedag.
### Emergency Route
Given the large turnout, it is crucial to keep a route clear for emergency services. Therefore, there is a towing policy for cars parked or stopped along the emergency route. Residents along this route are requested to park their cars on their own property. Starting from 8:00 AM, the emergency route will be partially closed to motorized traffic. The parking ban is in effect from 7:00 AM to 9:00 PM.
### Parade Route
To ensure smooth emergency services, we ask that no large furniture be placed along the parade route. This obstructs the walkway and hinders emergency services. Folding chairs are allowed as they can be quickly removed. Additionally, we want to keep space in the front row for wheelchair users and younger visitors so that they can fully enjoy the parade.
### Parking Ban
During the Brabantsedag, a parking ban will be enforced on certain streets. There are sufficient parking facilities available to still access the village. Before 8:00 AM, you can still reach (almost) everywhere by car. From 8:00 AM onwards, part of Heeze will be closed to motorized traffic. Traffic controllers will be present at various points to assist.
### Please Note:
From Thursday, August 22 at 5:00 PM, Friday, August 23, and Monday, August 26, one-way traffic will be in effect along the parade route due to the construction and dismantling of the grandstand. On Sunday, August 25, a stop ban will be in effect from 7:00 AM to 9:30 PM.
If you have any questions about these measures, please contact us by phone at (040) 22 41 400.
Let's work together to ensure that the Brabantsedag is once again a fantastic and safe day. Thank you for your cooperation and have a great time!
