HEEZE -PSV-director Toon Gerbrands and politician and MP Madeleine van Toorenburg are the new ambassadors of the Brabantsedag.
Last year the Brabantsedag started with the ambassadorship: BN'ers and BB'ers with a warm connection to Brabantsedag Heeze. With the help of ambassadors, new target groups can be addressed and the experience is put on the map even more widely.
Earlier, King commissioner Wim van der Donk, Mayor Paul Verhoeven, Olympic and World cycling champion Marianne Vos, author Wim Daniëls and musicians Björn van der Doelen and Gerard van Maasakkers became ambassadors for the Brabantsedag. Toon Gerbrands and Madeleine van Toorenburg have recently joined this illustrious company.
Toon Gerbrands, since 2014 general director of football club PSV, author and performance manager, is known in the sports world. The tall born Frisian - he played volleyball himself at a high level - caused a furore as national coach of the Dutch men's volleyball team and as manager and director of the DSB skating team.
Politician Madeleine van Toorenburg has been a member of parliament for the CDA since 2007, lives in Rosmalen and was already a fan of the Brabantsedag; last year she was there for the ninth time: "The whole country should be able to enjoy. It is an honour to be an ambassador", says Van Toorenburg.
